What is Cosmetic Tattooing?

The Cosmetic Tattooing Process
All cosmetic tattoo services include a thorough consultation, where your requirements will be discussed and a solution tailored to your needs. Your design will be drawn on so you can see how the end result will look, and any questions you have will be comprehensively answered. At the time of your tattoo, Suzanne will custom-blend your perfect colour, choosing from an extensive cosmetic tattoo ink palette. These specialised inks harmonise with skin tones and gradually fade without discolouration. A topical anaesthetic will be applied, assuring you of the most comfortable experience possible, though a 'tingling' feeling will likely be experienced. An electrical pen inserts colour into the dermis at a consistent depth, resulting in a soft and natural look. A single retouch application four to six weeks after the initial treatment is included with all new work.
What to expect
When a procedure is completed, the colour will appear significantly darker than the final result, as the colour is in both the epidermis and the dermis. During the healing process, the top layer of skin (the epidermis) flakes off, and the overall effect is lightened. Eyes and lips may experience temporary swelling, which can be alleviated with the application of cold packs if necessary. You will be supplied with an after care kit which contains everything you need for an optimal healing process.
Special Requirements
You may have special needs for cosmetic tattooing, such as scar relaxation, nipple and areola colour following a breast reconstruction, vitiligo, alopecia, pigmentation camouflage or other health concerns.
